The Wave Market is a project carried out by three entrepreneurs residents in the island who saw a need to create an event that brought together gastronomy, crafts and music with visual demand and very carefully chosen contents.
Its organizers define it as much more than a market «it’s a meeting point, an experience, it’s taking care of the island, protecting what is ours, giving a value to what we do and, above all, creating something together». It’s all about a market with a different and disruptive philosophy in Fuerteventura, as it works in other cities of the peninsula and Europe. A multidisciplinary space so that local designers, artists, producers, and creative people from different sectors can contact their community, thus managing to keep the creative spirit that characterises Fuerteventura. It’s a project that brings everybody together and makes them accomplices of their own success.
The offer will bring together music, food, drinks, stands of fashion, complements, decoration, gastronomy, food-trucks, children workshops, surf, screenings… with a very important common trait: authenticity. And the truth is that, if there is something distinguishing this market, that is the congregation of passionate people who respect environment while carrying out their businesses, trying to make a difference against big corporations, people who believe in people and manage their businesses with their heart.
The first edition of The Wave Market will take place on October 21st and 22nd in Baku Place, in Corralejo. There, the different exhibitors will meet to offer all the inhabitants and visitors of our wonderful island an alternative where they can find this kind of products and services so carefully chosen to boost the small and local businesses.
