Terra Fuerteventura is a cute shop, offering goods from various nooks of the world, placed in the heart of Puerto del Rosario. This is the project that María Núñez started in March this year, very willingly, and that one day receives the grateful answer of the people, which is most satisfactory for its owner.
We talked to María about her project, already consolidated, and about any ideas about Christmas presents a bit different from the ones we usually find in Fuerteventura.
What can we find in Terra Fuerteventura?
In the shop we have a wide variety of products coming from India, Nepal, Turkey and Morocco.
We have clothes, leather goods, articles of decoration, deities… and many more ideal details as gifts, also to give ourselves that which we so much deserve.
How do you decide about what goods you can offer?
I just follow my personal taste, but what is most important when it comes to choosing the suppliers is the commitment to fair trade, which is essential to me.
What’s the philosophy of this store?
The most important is to offer a personal and careful attention to our customers. Another of the rules that defines us is to have a lot of variety but without much repetition of items, which I think is essential to make us look different from the big department stores and which is being the key to our success.

What a difficult decision! There are lots, all the goods in the shop are special details…. Personality I love the goods of the Banjara Tribe, a nomadic population from India that make bags and wallets out of their own clothes. They are unique and exclusive items, unlike any others. They’re characterised for being full of colour, with embroidery and inlay of old mirrors, all of them hand-made and very attractive; real works of art.
