Sonidos L?quidos is a unique festival combining the best of independent music, the wines of Lanzarote and its gastronomy, everything in a unique environment as it is La Geria and its cellars.

The season of concerts starts in Spring. From the middle of March the Festival springs up with its smaller and more intimate version, ?Malvas?a Volc?nica Experience?. This year, Morgan and Rufus T. Firefly star the first two events with a sound success in the cellars La Florida and El Grifo respectively. ?ngel Stanich Band will close this cycle on May 27th, to give way to the great season end: The ? Malvas?a Voc?nica Weekend?.
This Festival will be taking place in a protected natural area formed by volcanoes, lavas, ash and the peculiar growing up of vine yards in Lanzarote with holes and walls of volcanic stones as the main protagonists. This unbelievable landscape becomes an one-day ideal scenery and it has been able to surprise all the artists that have taken place in it, including the very Vetusta Morla or Love of Lesbian, among others.
It?s all about an event with unique personality that has turned, little by little, into a must-attend one in the calendar of Spanish festivals due to its innovative project.

But why is it different from the rest of festivals?

Sonidos L?quidos doesn?t only offer an exciting Saturday of over 10 hours of live music with surprising performances of national and international bands and artist. There, in the heart of La Geria, surrounded by magic volcanic energy, 3000 people enjoy their five senses as they had never done before. Concerts, landscape, Lanzarote wines, gastronomy and an exceptional environment.

This year, ?Malvas?a Volc?nica Weekend? will be celebrated on Saturday June 9th, in La Geria Cellars. The bands taking part in it will be The Fatellis (Scotland), Eli ?Paperboy? Reed (USA), Novedades Carminha (Galicia), Vive la F?te (Belgium), Texxcoco, Kardomillo y Selectora Eva Olvido. As an innovation, Friday June 8th there will also be free live music. La Nave (Lanzarote) and ?l mat? a un polic?a motorizado (Aregentine) will be performing on the stage, which will be set in Arrecife, at the beginning of the event, to provide a complete weekend.

Every single edition, Fuel Fandango, Muchachito, Vetusta Morla, Le?n Benavente or Love of Lesbian, to mention just a few, have been attracting more and more audience in the different places they?ve been performing. Their singular combination and the high quality of the elements making it up have conquered people from all over The Canary Islands, different cities in La Pen?nsula and other countries such as France, England, Germany, Italy or Ireland.

Moreover, being aware of the beauty and gentleness of the landscape, several initiatives have been implemented by the organization to protect this space. The use of renewable energy, the selective collection of waste are now totally implemented. But one of the most important pillars is the use of sustainable transport by the public. For this reason, a service of free shuttle buses has been offered, departing from the village of Uga for everyone who can get there by car. The other option is to acquire very cheap round trip tickets from different points of the island, so that there is no need to use the car at all.
