In its third edition, the island autonomic championship, «Promesas del Surf 2018», has beaten a record that proves the great passion we feel for surf here in Fuerteventura and that we are the island that enjoys the best conditions to practise it.

The thing is that this championship, which took place last July 21st in Playa Blanca, has been that with the highest number of enrolled participants in the Canary Islands so far this year, apart from having far exceeded the audience’s expectations of attendance.

Participants from all over the island responded to the call of surf to show all their skills on the waves on a day where the conditions were the best ones, with medium and powerful waves, which allowed the participants to offer a beautiful competitive show.

Surfers, like the young promise Andrea Buch, the popular Kalani Da Silva or the longboarder Alberto de Mario (the event speaker) – very habitual names in the surf panorama in Fuerteventura- , managed to get the first positions in their respective categories, because of their skills and his natural flow in the water.

From Fuerte Tribu Club, the event promoter, and after the success of this edition, they confirm they are already working in the next one, «Promesas del Surf 2019», with new innovative ideas, initiatives that motivate the youngest to keep on practising day after day.
