Local and international artists will meet at the Artistic Festival Cotilleando 2017, which -for the second year in a row and after the success of its first edition- will take place throughout the beautiful streets of the old part of El Cotillo during October 14th and 15th.

Artists from the circus, dance, theatre, music, crafts and other disciplines will show their art taking advantage of the special structure of the old part of this beautiful village, just to give value to its magic alleys.

This special festival is a work of the well-known circus performer Stefania Faga, settled down and in love with El Cotillo, and thanks to the cooperation of La Oliva council she has been able to launch this initiative, really welcome last year and bringing even more surprises and activities this year.

Saturday evening, from 20 to 23h, the travelling festival will be celebrated; different performances will take place at different corners of the old village. That way, artists will intermingle with the scenery, taking advantage of the special structure of this part of the village, making the audience move throughout the alleys to find out and let themselves be surprised by the performances. Moreover, on Saturday afternoon the craft market, CotiArte, will take place in the square of the village, before the beginning of the Festival.

On Sunday, from 16:00 in ?Muelle Chico?, different workshops and activities for all kinds of audience, especially for children, will take place: Trapeze and netting, tightrope walk and jugglery, games and face painting?

At 18:30 the final show starts, Inhedito, where most of the artists meeting in this edition will take part. Each of them will contribute their art, with the inconvenience of just having two days to rehearse for this big final performance where all the disciplines will be combined.

Stefania Faga tells us how difficult it is to set into motion such a Festival, which counts with international artists in spite of the reduced budget. This is why she thanks La Oliva Council for its essential support, the businessmen of the area for making their contributions and, especially, the artists (from last year and from this year) for believing in art and making an effort to take part in such a special festival.

Among the different artists that will meet in this new edition we must highlight the international dancer Ben Furi, who already participated last year; the majorero artist Domingo Saavedra, who also delighted us last year with his piano; Althay P?ez with his ?timple?. Other big professionals of the dance like Juan Cabrera, the tightrope walker Sandro Sassi, the acrobat Linda Vellar, and Fabio Nicolini, an artist from Eia circus that, with its show in Tarsi won the prestigious MAX prize to the Best First Show and Aim? Morales, winner of the Circ Demain International Festival.
